Extremely strange: After an accident on Sunday evening, the emergency services found the completely destroyed Mercedes in the guardrail of the highway in Styria – but so far there is no trace of the driver. A drone was even used to search from the air.
The accident happened on Sunday morning around 03:30 am on the S6, directly at the Kapfenberg exit. The driver probably lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and came to a stop against the guardrail. The car came to a stop on its side.
No trace of the steering wheel
Witnesses called the emergency call, the Kapfenberg city fire brigade and the St. Marein fire brigade in the Mürztal were alerted to this operation and the helpers were on site within a very short time. The most heavily damaged car was found there – but not the driver! The area surrounding the accident site was searched – no trace.
And even the aerial search by drone by the city fire brigade has so far been unsuccessful. The car was towed by a private tow company. Two fire brigades with six vehicles were deployed, the police, the Red Cross, ASFINAG and a tow company were involved.
