After the terrible story about an animal abuser in Styria, many readers wanted to know: how is the poor dog doing?
As reported, a 32-year-old Styrian, apparently mentally retarded, is suspected of killing several cats and severely mistreating other animals.
Some of his victims were apparently at the mercy of the man on his ex-girlfriend’s ranch; This is despite the fact that he is no longer allowed to keep animals since his conviction in 2017. Before that, he and his then partner had brutally abused a completely helpless baby dog that they had taken from shelters (!).
“The dog was just lying in the bathroom and didn’t even dare to shake,” said a crying witness during the hearing. A bundle of fear, with broken bones, at the end. But what, we wanted to know, has become of “Bodo”?
He’s doing great! He lives with a great animal lover and is the spoiled prince there. “He is my everything,” says the Styrian, who, despite everything, managed to win the trust of the severely traumatized animal. Which after that has had a long road of suffering; “Bodo” has been operated on four times because of the abuse, he will never be able to walk properly again. “Unfortunately, he has a limp,” the man says. But: “I also do that because of an illness. So we stumble through life together, but very happily.”
What a nice happy ending after the horror…
