Driver’s license gone – drug driver drove disabled child to school

Date:

“It doesn’t help, at least I’m sure of it.” With these words, a 29-year-old drug driver refused to present himself to the doctor in Upper Austria on Tuesday morning. Police officers had pulled the man out of circulation, who was about to take his son to school in a handicapped condition.

Wels police officers found a clearly severely disabled driver around 8 a.m. on Tuesday while securing the way to school in Wels. When checking the driver and the vehicle, the officers noticed clear signs of drug addiction in the 29-year-old driver, who wanted to take his child to school.

De Welser turned down the request for a clinical examination by a doctor. He was not allowed to drive any further and his driver’s license was temporarily suspended.
