After the horrific collision Thursday morning in Tyrol between a freight train and a school bus, in which two students and the bus driver were seriously injured, the police now report that the bus driver (45) has died in the clinic.
There were shocking images that took place on Thursday at a level crossing in Pflach in the Ausserfern region of Tyrol. For reasons not yet clarified, a bus driver (45) drove onto the track around 7 a.m., although a freight train was approaching towards Vils. There was a collision and the bus was grabbed in the middle and dragged about 30 meters.
The bus almost overturned a catenary and stopped on the dike. As the police now report, the bus driver died at the Innsbruck clinic on Wednesday evening. The two children, aged 11 and 13, were seriously injured in the accident.
