Fatal accident Wednesday morning on the Inntalautobahn in the Tiroler Unterland: A 46-year-old resident went off the roadway, after which the car first collided with a guardrail and then was thrown against the guardrail. The driver and his two children (5 and 8 years) were injured.
The accident happened around 8:30 am. The 46-year-old Tyrolean was driving on the A12 towards Kufstein when he left the road near Radfeld for unknown reasons. “The car crashed into a crash pad just before the checkpoint. The car then turned around and came to a stop at the guardrail,” said the police at the request of “Krone”.
Family with rescue to hospital
In addition to the driver, his two children, ages five and eight, were in the car. All three sustained injuries. After first aid at the accident site, they were taken by ambulance to the Kufstein district hospital.
The car was a total loss, according to police. There were no major traffic disruptions.
