From hospital to arrest – investigations following an explosion in a residential complex in Burgenland take a dramatic turn. The events have probably been preceded by frequent disputes.
The explosion at an apartment building in Baumgarten continues to cause a stir. As reported on Tuesday night, an open gas cylinder exploded in an apartment. The owner (60) was injured and taken to hospital.

Because he did not run into the stairwell like everyone else immediately after the explosion, it was assumed that he was not home,” say residents. The neighbor turned out to be in bed and only heard of the explosion when the emergency services found him in the bedroom.
Now the investigation into the thorny case led to the arrest of the injured 60-year-old. According to investigations, he had a gas bottle in his kitchen and living room. The first, which was open, was handled with the lighter and the explosion was caused.
