A 35-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car on Sunday night while crossing a street in Gmunden in Upper Austria and was seriously injured. The unknown driver continued his journey as usual. Police are now hoping for information from the public.

The 35-year-old from Gmunden had crossed the road at Graben near Gmunden around 11:35 PM. At the same time, an unknown driver drove his car towards the Esplanade. The cause of the collision between the car and the pedestrian is unknown. However, the driver did not stop to attend to the pedestrian, but continued his journey without stopping in the direction of Gmunden town square.
