Saturday evening there was a violent fight between two housemates (55 and 64) in Vienna-Währing. When the 55-year-old pulled a knife, the situation escalated.
It is currently unclear what caused the heated debate. The 55-year-old attacked the 64-year-old housemate with a bread knife, seriously injuring his upper body.
Alcohol test was positive
Observant neighbors alerted the police and the suspect was temporarily detained. The murder weapon was also seized by the officers. The alcohol test for the 55-year-old showed 1.78 per thousand.
64 year old in hospital
A provisional arms ban and a ban on supervision and approach were imposed on him. The 64-year-old received emergency medical assistance from the rescue team and was taken to a hospital. There is no danger to life.
