“Children born” – Russian scandal priest dies in Kherson

Date:

A few days after causing a sensation with grotesque statements, Russian archpriest Mikhail Wassiljew died in a shelling in Kherson. The cleric was there to carry out his “pastoral duties,” the Russian Orthodox Church said. At the end of October, he caused a stir by calling on Russian women to have more children. This would make it easier for them to send sons to war.

The priest died Sunday morning “in the area of special military operations,” the church said. The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, expressed his condolences to the deceased’s “family, friends and spiritual children” and said he was a “brave, determined and self-sacrificing soul shepherd”. In the military he was known as the “Priest of the Paratroopers”.

Minister blessed nuclear-capable missile system
Vasilyev had served in many war zones such as Kosovo, Bosnia, Abkhazia, the North Caucasus and Syria. He also blessed heavy weapons, such as Iskander’s nuclear missile system or Topol’s ballistic missile system. The cleric gained international fame after an interview at the end of October: he was asked what he thought of mothers who fear for the lives of their sons and who help them flee military service abroad.

Divorce is not so “painful” with multiple children
“The Lord commanded every woman to bear many children,” explained Vasilyev. “And if a woman who keeps this commandment – ’be fruitful and multiplied’ – abstains from the broadly artificial way of abortion, then of course she will have more than one child,” he said. it will not be so painful and frightening for them to say goodbye to them.” The pastor leaves behind a wife and five children.
