Weirs in constant use – arson? Three alarms in Klagenfurt

Date:

On Monday evening there were three fire reports in Klagenfurt-Waidmannsdorf. Police were able to track down a suspect later that evening. Arson is under investigation. Almost at the same time, the professional fire brigade had to intervene in the event of an accident and a tractor fire.

“We have been working continuously since 6 p.m. It all started with a fire in a waste container in Waidmannsdorf. Half an hour later we had to put out another container nearby and then there was a fire again,” reports deputy fire chief Wolfgang Germ of the Klagenfurt fire brigade. But that was not all. Another traffic accident occurred at the intersection almost at the same time Klagenfurt Nord and a tractor caught fire in a service building in Großbuch.

“The driver of the accident stated that a truck had simply turned around near the intersection and that’s what caused the accident,” said Germ.

In Großbuch there was an alarm because of a fire in a farm. Several fire brigades, including the FF Wölfnitz, rushed to the scene. Then it turned out that a tractor was on fire.
