A poacher committed mischief in the Tyrolean Lech Valley on Wednesday evening: the unknown shot a deer in the municipality of Pfafflar and eventually cut off its head. Police are now hoping for useful information.
According to the police, the poacher struck between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. in the Hahntennjochstraße area near Pfafflar. “He shot a large Class I deer with a firearm,” the detectives say. The perpetrator then chopped off the animal’s head. He left the carcass behind.
Revierjäger filed a complaint
“The responsible district hunter eventually discovered the remains of the animal and immediately filed a complaint,” the executive continued. The damage suffered amounts to more than 10,000 euros. There is no trace of the perpetrator. The poacher is under investigation.
