A tragic accident happened in Bad Schallerbach in Upper Austria on Friday morning. A car driver (65) is said to have been run over by her own car and was fatally injured.
The accident happened Friday morning on the L528 (Grieskirchner Straße) at the intersection with Obermühlstraße in Bad Schallerbach.
The vehicle suddenly started rolling
A Romanian national traveling with her mother apparently stayed in a boarding house beforehand. Investigators currently believe the woman had put the suitcases down before she left. After she was already in the car, she apparently got out again. The vehicle would have rolled over and caught the driver. The woman suffered fatal injuries.
The fire brigade, the rescue service, the emergency doctor and the police as well as a street sweeper were present. The L528 was temporarily blocked in the area of the accident site or was difficult to pass.
