On Tuesday afternoon, the police in Vienna-Donaustadt carried out a key action against the illegal sale or possession of pyrotechnic objects. In total, about 400 pieces of dangerous fireworks could be seized.
According to the police, a 26-year-old seemed very nervous during one of the checks after the officers arrested him at Kagraner Platz. Not unfounded, because a large shopping bag with numerous pyrotechnic objects of the class F3 and F4 was seized. In addition, the 26-year-old handed over more F3, F4 and P1 class firecrackers to officers, which he had bought illegally and stored near his home.
Huge explosive power
Due to the large number of pieces and the enormous explosive power of the illegal pyrotechnic objects, explosives experts were alerted to carry out safe storage and transport. Because with this amount of explosives, violent explosions could have taken place.
The 26-year-old reported
A total of 160 class P1, 187 class F3 (including seven fireworks boxes) and 42 class F4 were seized. The 26-year-old was reported under the Pyrotechnics Act.
