A drug driver gave the police a wild chase on Wednesday evening that ended alone in Mittersill (Salzburg). The 18 year old didn’t even have a driver’s license!
At one o’clock in the morning, a police patrol wanted to check the steering wheel of a car in Kirchberg in Tirol. However, the driver whistled at the attempts to stop and fled through side streets in Kitzbühel towards Pass Thurn. The patrol gave chase and alerted three other patrols.
The driver raced to Mittersill, turned around at the roundabout and headed back towards Tyrol. Police eventually stopped him through a roadblock on the B161. During the check it turned out that the car was not on license plate and the license plate had been stolen!
Drugs were also found in the car. The 18-year-old driver resisted arrest, but was overpowered by officers. The police also found drugs on the 28-year-old passenger. The company doctor eventually determined that the 18-year-old was unable to drive due to drugs. The duo are still in police custody and are facing charges.
