In the city of Salzburg, the police arrested numerous alcohol and drug drivers on Friday evening. A moped driver (74) fell from his vehicle drunk, a 20-year-old was on drugs with stolen license plates.
At about 10:25 p.m., the 74-year-old tried to start his moped in Salzburg-Itzling, and fell off the moped because he was clearly heavily intoxicated. Passers-by then called the police. The oldest refused the alcohol test.
Narcotics Allegations
In the fief, a 20-year-old was checked by a citizen patrol of the state traffic service: the vehicle was not allowed to drive and the license plate was stolen. A rapid drug test was positive for THC and cocaine. The doctor determined that the driver was unfit to drive. The driver is reported for taking documents, under the Narcotics Act and for numerous traffic violations.
Civilian patrols also arrested three drivers under the influence of drugs on Friday evening. The driver’s license was temporarily withdrawn from all persons and further driving was prohibited. You will be reported to the responsible authorities.
