“Krone” interview – a pediatrician fights for the lives of babies in Odessa

Date:

War-torn Odessa in Ukraine is running out of electricity. Nurses have to care for children in the dark, lab doctors move their machines into intensive care and young doctor Dr. Anna Bantovska took over the task of a ventilation system: conditions in a children’s hospital in Odessa are critical. The “Krone” called the young doctor, who described the dramatic circumstances.

The first power outages occurred a few weeks ago. But last Friday Odessa was the main destination: only the critical infrastructure worked more than 24 hours, because it had the highest priority. In the doctor’s house there was even no electricity for 40 hours
