Crashed into a ditch – minibus accident leads to large-scale rescue operation

Shortly before midnight, a large contingent of emergency services had to rush to the Magdalensberg. A van had an accident and ended up in a ditch. It was initially believed that several people were injured.

After receiving the emergency call, several fire brigades, ambulances, police and first responders made their way to the top road on the Magdalensberg. Because it was believed that several people were trapped. But when they got to the scene, the all-clear could be given.

After hospital treatment
All five occupants of the car were able to free themselves from the minibus involved in the accident. However, two of them had to be taken to hospital in Klagenfurt with minor injuries.

Firefighters need their own support
Upon returning to the armory, the fire brigades themselves needed support. Because of the heavy snowfall, the Floriani disciples called for two snowplows to get home safely.
