He disguised himself with a carnival mask, but even then he had nothing to laugh about. Shortly after the failed coup d’état, an impeded gas station robber was found in Linz – on a garbage island.
An (initially) unknown perpetrator entered a gas station in Linz, Bindermichl-Keferfeld district, around 9 p.m. on Monday and looked out for the gas station employee. The man was masked with a carnival mask and carried a red backpack and a baton. Finally, he asked the gas station employee to give him money. However, the employee did not immediately comply with the request, so that the man apparently lost courage and left the gas station without taking anything with him.
Man found on garbage island
During a manhunt, a 25-year-old Bosnian civilian from Linz was found hiding on a garbage island right next to the gas station and was arrested by the duty unit. In addition, the backpack, the stick and the carnival mask were found. The man was arrested. The robbery group of the National Investigation Department has taken over the further investigation. The 25-year-old confessed during questioning. He is transferred to the prison of Linz.
