Demand increased – Russian recruits freeze sperm for free

Date:

Russians sent to war by partial mobilization can have their sperm frozen for free. This is reported by the head of the Russian Bar Association, Igor Trunov. The demand for sperm banks is said to have increased since mobilization.

According to media reports, the reason is that the men could die in the war in Ukraine and want to protect their offspring in this way. About 6,000 Russian soldiers have been killed since the start of the war, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. On the Ukrainian side, on the other hand, it is believed that more than 100,000 Russian soldiers were killed.

“Free Preservation and Storage”
Anyone who is sent to war as a result of partial mobilization and wants to have their sperm frozen can do so for free, according to an insider. In detail, the Russian Ministry of Health states “free preservation and storage of germ cells of citizens mobilized to participate in the special military operation, financed from budgetary resources,” said the head of the Russian Bar Association, Igor Trunov.

6900 civilians killed
How many soldiers have already died cannot be independently verified. It’s the same with civilians. The United Nations estimates that nearly 6,900 civilians were killed and nearly 11,000 others injured. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva estimates that the numbers are significantly higher.

On Wednesday there was another national air raid alarm in Ukraine, also in Kiev. According to social media reports, the air raid siren was activated after Russian fighter jets took off from bases in neighboring Belarus. Earlier, new attacks had been reported from the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson. The Russian army is said to have fired 33 rockets at civilian targets on Wednesday morning.
