Next Easter traffic drama: Late Sunday night a serious traffic accident occurred in Feld/Wagram in Lower Austria – with one seriously injured and one dead. The cause is still unclear.
When the Grafenwörth fire brigade arrived on the LB34, two people trapped in the car wreck had to be freed. The driver of the accident is said to be a 33-year-old man, the passenger is 24 years old.
Rescuers then performed CPR on the driver. The fire brigade supports the rescue service present in the care of the two seriously injured people and with resuscitation.
All help came too late
Unfortunately, while the passenger was being treated at the scene and flown to the hospital in an emergency helicopter, all help for the 33-year-old driver came too late. He later died at the accident site.
Exhaust recovered from tree with crane
Emergency services then had to use a crane to rescue the car’s exhaust pipe from a tree and move it to a secure parking lot. The wreckage of the vehicle was eventually removed by emergency services.
