Monday night robbery on the open street in Vienna-Meidling: A 28-year-old was targeted by two boys who aimed at their victim’s headphones. After several hits, the duo made off with their loot. The suspects are only 13 and 14 years old.
The action took place around 03:00 in Schönbrunner Strasse. After the attack, the 28-year-old alerted the police and reported that he had been assaulted and beaten by two boys. He was injured in the attack and was treated by the professional rescue service, but was subsequently released to be cared for at home.
Manhunt successful
The police, meanwhile, were looking for the two alleged robbers and were eventually able to arrest the two suspects, two Syrians aged 13 and 14. The previously stolen headphones could not be found, the company said.
The investigation is ongoing.
