There have been many injuries and several deaths on or near the ski slopes of Tyrol in recent days. What all the accidents had in common was that they happened during the descent to the valley. Not so on Tuesdays in the Ötztal. There a skier (29) got out of the drag lift and was killed.
The accident happened around 2 p.m. The 29-year-old German used a drag lift in a ski area in the Ötztal to ski up the mountain. “Because the hanger got caught on the clothes, she wasn’t able to remove it until very late,” said the director.
With “Martin 2” to the hospital
Despite an emergency stop, the woman crashed into a snowdrift and was seriously injured. The German received first aid from the track rescue service. The emergency medical helicopter “Martin 2” then flew them to Zams Hospital.
