Those involved drove away – two seriously injured: search for skiing accidents

Date:

Two skiing accidents, two seriously injured and two participants who continued afterwards: The Tyrolean police are looking for witnesses after incidents in the Ziller and Stubaital.

Scene Zillertal: Late Saturday morning, around 11:20 am, a 26-year-old German skier was skiing downhill above the Kapauns valley station in Rohrberg when suddenly an unknown person stepped on his skis.

Unknown collision
The young man fell and suffered a serious shoulder injury. The second skier involved fled without stopping.

The detectives at the police station in Zell am Ziller are now hoping for clues that could lead to the fugitive (telephone number: 059 133/7257).

Almost the same accident in the Stubaital
A similar accident had already occurred on Epiphany in the Stubaital. In the Schlick2000 ski area, a young person drove over the ski ends of a 59-year-old German shortly before the Schlickeralm. Both winter sportsmen fell. The boy first inquired about the woman’s health. After she said she was unharmed, he drove on.

Only later did the holidaymaker experience severe pain – she had to be taken down to the valley by the piste rescue service. She was eventually diagnosed at the hospital with a serious coccyx and hip injury.

The young person or any witnesses are requested to contact the Fulpmes police station on 059 133/7112.
