Alko accident in Tyrol – in wavy lines on the road and crashed into the car

Date:

A traffic accident in Tyrol caused a lot of commotion on Friday evening. An apparently heavily intoxicated local resident (32) rammed into an oncoming car in Stans. The driver of the car (46) was injured. The 32-year-old was unharmed, but has since lost her driver’s license.

Around 6 p.m., the 46-year-old Austrian drove her white Mercedes on Unterinntalstraße in the Stans district towards the city center. “At the height of the swimming pool, a motorist met her across the middle of the lane and in a wavy line,” police said. While a motorist driving in front of the Mercedes was able to turn right into an access road, a collision occurred between the 46-year-old’s vehicle and the oncoming black Audi.

Rear wheel torn off
Both vehicles sustained significant damage on the left side. The enormous impact even ripped out the axle and the left rear wheel of the Mercedes. The Audi, driven by the 32-year-old, slid after the collision and came to a stop on the sidewalk on the opposite side. “An uninvolved driver started the rescue chain,” said the director.

Alcohol test declined
The 46-year-old was taken to hospital in Schwaz with serious injuries. “According to current knowledge, the obviously heavily intoxicated 32-year-old was unharmed,” law enforcement officials said. However, the woman behaved extremely unwillingly towards the officials who charged and refused an alcohol test. Her driver’s license has been taken away. The L215 has been closed in the area of the accident site during the accident registration and clean-up work and a local diversion has been put in place.
