Roberto Bautista did not enter the final of the Adelaide 2 tournament (Australia) what would have been the first title of the year for Spanish tennis, lost to South Korean Soonwoo Kwon in a third set tiebreaker.
The final result was 6-4, 3-6 and 7-6(4) after 2 hours and 44 minutes of play.
Bautista lost his first serve turn in the opening set and that was the score of the first set which ended in a 6-4 loss. In the second round, the man from Castellón broke Kwon’s serve in the first substitution (2-0) and ended up winning 6-3.
In the third and final set, the tie continued as both players broke serve twice, reaching 6-6, which allowed for a tie break.
