An 83-year-old woman in the Tyrolean Hatting (Innsbruck-Land district) had a terrible night. Burglars broke into her home while she slept on Monday and detained the resident as they searched her bedroom. An elderly woman was also injured in the robbery.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, the strangers entered the family home in Hatting. The owner, an 83-year-old local woman, was asleep at the time and did not notice the two men searching the house for anything of value. The elderly woman only woke up when the burglars entered the bedroom. One of the men held her down so she could watch alone while the second perpetrator searched the room. In the end, the men fled with a small amount of money, jewelery and a mobile phone as loot.
When the resident was sure that the burglars were gone, she called the police. The rescue took the injured 83-year-old to the clinic in Innsbruck. There she was released after outpatient treatment and questioned by the police.
Police looking for perpetrators: request for information
There is no trace of the suspected burglars and an immediate alarm search yielded nothing. The unknown perpetrators are two men between 30 and 40 years old. Both are between 1.60 and 1.65 meters tall and wore a black down jacket with a hood.
Police are now asking for information in the search for the perpetrators. Anyone who can help solve the case is asked to contact the police.
