There are no age limits for crime – Innsbruck proved that once again! A ruthless gang of young people has been up to mischief there in recent weeks, stealing cash and valuables from their victims under threat of violence. The young crooks, partly armed, did not shy away from blackmail either. Now the gang has fallen apart. The head of the group is only 15 years old.
The group of at least six people is said to have been hunting in the city of Innsbruck since December. The alleged perpetrators, aged between 14 and 16, allegedly singled out specifically alleged younger victims in different compositions and then harassed, pressured and threatened violence to hand over valuables and money.
Weapons were also used
“Brass knuckles and knives were also used to reinforce the threats. If valuables were not or could not be handed over immediately, the main suspect did not shy away from blackmail attempts to take money later, according to the Innsbruck Kripo.
According to the executive, some youths also filmed their actions. The videos were then boastfully sent on various platforms.
Trio is stuck
In total, the police have arrested six suspects. The head of the gang is a 15-year-old Hungarian. Pre-trial detention was imposed against him and a 14-year-old Russian and a Serb of the same age. Three other suspects aged 14 and 16 were set free.
