Nothing at all – that’s the alcohol limit for bus drivers! But not everyone adheres to that. In the Tyrolean Ötztal, a bus driver was taken out of circulation on Friday – and he not only had many passengers on board, but also more than 0.8 per thousand!
In Sölden, the police took the bus out of service around 12:30 p.m. as part of routine checks. An alcohol test performed on the driver was subsequently positive. “The Austrian had more than 0.8 promille,” the researchers say.
Driver’s license removed
The driver’s license was taken from the bus driver on the spot and he was not allowed to continue driving. “There were 46 passengers on the bus at the time of the check,” police continued. Appropriate advertisements will follow.
