Scary scenes played out in front of a bar in Kufstein, Tyrol, on Sunday evening: an Iraqi (26) armed with a knife apparently wanted to break into a bar. Two bouncers managed to stop the man. A knife was also involved in an argument between young people in a restaurant in the Zillertal.
The incident in Kufstein happened shortly before midnight. According to the current state of the investigation, the 26-year-old Iraqi, who would have been heavily intoxicated, wanted to march into the bar armed with a knife. “But he was prevented by two bouncers,” said the police.
Hand and shoulder injuries
An altercation ensued, in which the suspect allegedly cut his hand and injured his shoulder. “How the 26-year-old was actually injured is still the subject of an ongoing investigation,” the executive continued. The injured were taken to hospital.
Dispute with Messer also in Zillertal
Around 9 p.m. there was a fight between several young people in a restaurant in Fügenberg in the Zillertal. In the course of the dispute, a 16-year-old resident allegedly injured an opponent of the same age.
“In addition, the suspect may have threatened another 16-year-old and a 14-year-old Austrian with a pocket knife,” the detectives said. All those involved will be reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Innsbruck.
