Dispute escalated – stranger thought man was a drug dealer, pulled out knife

Because a 25-year-old pedestrian was mistaken for a drug dealer by an unknown person, an argument broke out between the two men in Vienna-Favoriten around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The stranger then suddenly pulled out a knife.

When the 25-year-old explained to the previously unknown man that he would not sell drugs, an altercation suddenly broke out. The alleged perpetrator is said to have drawn a knife and cut the man in the crook of his elbow. After the attack, the victim fled to a pharmacy and immediately alerted the police.

A search for the alleged perpetrator has so far turned up nothing – there is no trace of the perpetrator. According to the victim, the stranger is about 1.70 to 1.80 meters tall. He was also dressed in black during the incident. The 25-year-old was taken to hospital.
