In Götzens in the Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land, a collision took place between two cars on Thursday evening. A 22-year-old resident may have overlooked a retiree’s (69) vehicle as he turned onto the county road. The second suffered injuries in the collision. In addition, an alcohol test was positive for the 69-year-old.
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. The 22-year-old resident wanted to turn his car from a municipal road onto state highway 304 and overlooked the 69-year-old’s car heading west.
Pensioner injured in hospital
The two vehicles collided and the pensioner was seriously injured. After first aid at the scene of the accident, he was taken by ambulance to the clinic in Innsbruck. The 22-year-old escaped unscathed.
Alcohol test was positive
