On Friday evening, a Southeast Styrian horse went off the road near St. Stefan in the Rosental. The accident that followed resulted in a total loss of the vehicle. One of the two occupants had to be taken to hospital.
The fire brigade rushed to Trössendorf near Lichendorf (municipality of St. Stefan im Rosental): They were called there on Friday around 6 p.m. for a traffic accident with smoke development.
When they got there, no fire had broken out, but they found a car that was wrecked. Fortunately, the airbags deployed, preventing worse things from happening.
The driver went off the road
There were two people in the car. The driver from Southeast Styria and his passenger were on their way to Hof near Kirchberg when they suddenly left the road. They then crashed head-on into a raised tree trunk in the adjacent forest!
One person was injured, others escaped unhurt
The force caused them to skid and the vehicle came to a stop in the ditch. Witnesses heard the scene, raised the alarm and immediately attended to the victims. One of the two was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, the second person escaped with abrasions and shock.
The fire brigade of Lichendorf and St. Stefan im Rosental then recovered the completely damaged car. The road was completely closed during the entire operation.
