After finding the body of twelve-year-old Luise from Freudenberg (North Rhine-Westphalia), two underage friends confessed to the bloody act. However, it is still unclear where the murder weapon is located. After a large-scale operation, the search for the knife has now been suspended for the time being – although that would be important to the detectives despite the confession.
The student Luise suffered numerous knife wounds – mostly from friends. They may have gotten revenge on the girl for confiding in an adult about the duo’s bullying. What the detectives have not yet been able to clarify, however, is the whereabouts of the murder weapon.
Investigators said it was a “domestic” knife. But even after a search by 30 police officers around the crime scene, which is located in a remote wooded area, there is still no trace of the weapon. “No further searches are currently planned,” says a spokesman for Siegen’s public prosecutor’s office, explaining that the operation has been terminated for the time being.
The appearance of the weapon would be of great importance to the executive – despite the testimonies of the alleged perpetrators. “Anything that objectively supports a confession is relevant,” said a spokesman.
