The incredible murder of twelve-year-old Luise shocked all of Germany: her best friends, aged twelve and thirteen, confessed to stabbing the girl in the woods on March 11. Luise’s parents have now published a touching obituary.
In the Saturday edition of the “Siegener Zeitung”, the parents of the deceased Luise published an obituary with moving words.
“You can’t see sadness, you can’t hear it — you can only feel it,” the ad reads above Luise’s name and a photo of the girl. Next to it are her name and her birth and death dates. “There are no words to grasp the incomprehensible. The world stands still for us.”
The funeral service will take place on March 22 in the nearest circle in Freudenberg. A police presence must ensure that the parents can say goodbye to their child in peace. However, the memorial ceremony will also be streamed via audio at Luise’s school.
There is also a condolence register in the Evangelical Church in Freudenberg. Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst has also registered.
Luise’s school had normal classes on Thursday for the first time since the crime. For three days, students and faculty took time over the weekend to talk and mourn the crime.
Perpetrators are not guilty
Almost a week after the violent death of the 12-year-old girl, authorities are still silent on the numerous speculations about the motives of the two 12- and 13-year-old girls who confessed to the crime. They allegedly killed Luise with numerous knife wounds in a remote forest on the border of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia on Saturday. The two alleged perpetrators are said to have bullied the girl and, due to their age, are not yet criminally responsible and cannot be brought to justice.
