An 18-year-old German experienced terrifying moments in front of a bar in Innsbruck on Friday night. The young man was surrounded by a total of eight people and asked to hand over cash. After the coup, the perpetrators fled. Police are hoping for clues. The Innsbruck police have already been able to clarify a robbery on Saturday.
The first robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday night. Police only released details on Sunday. The 18-year-old was surrounded by eight unidentified people – seven men and one woman – in front of a bar on Amraser Strasse.
Money stolen and fled
“One of the perpetrators then asked the German to show his wallet. After the victim complied, another person took a small amount of money from the wallet and the group fled,” police said. A search has turned up nothing so far.

Street robbery solved
A robbery was also committed in Innsbruck on Saturday afternoon. A 24-year-old German attacked a local resident (49) on the street and stole her handbag. The suspect could be found. By order of the public prosecutor’s office, she was taken to Innsbruck prison.
The victim sustained injuries in the attack and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
