New details – the rapist followed his victim through half of Vienna

Date:

Frightening details about the rape of a 26-year-old woman last weekend in front of Vienna’s Jägerstrasse metro station: The suspected 24-year-old had previously harassed his victim and followed him halfway across the city before striking. It was also announced that the alleged perpetrator had not been allowed to stay in Austria for a long time.

This is evident from the latest polls. The researchers reconstruct the dramatic process as follows. The young woman stayed in a nightclub until 5 a.m. During the visit, the alleged perpetrator spoke to her and forced himself on her while dancing. As she walked home, he followed her, which she did not notice. Photos from Wiener Linien’s surveillance cameras show that he also stayed close behind her when transferring from one subway line to another.

Try to shake off pursuers
The woman felt safe again long ago when she was suddenly confronted again by the 24-year-old in the U6 set, who approached, harassed and made physical advances on her. She fended him off and deliberately sought a conversation with a couple, to which the 24-year-old held back. The woman used this situation to quickly switch sets at a station when the subway stopped.

She hadn’t shaken the man off with that. When they reached their destination, the 24-year-old pulled them to the ground as they exited the station area on Jägerstrasse.

Already deported once
As it has now become apparent, the Tunisian had already been deported from Austria once because of the lack of a residence permit. Last year he entered the country again illegally, this time without any papers. Apparently he didn’t have a permanent job and he didn’t have an official registration address either.

The suspect is now in custody, initially limited to April 3. The public prosecutor is investigating the Tunisian for rape. The previously impeccable man continues to deny everything and claims to have had consensual sex with the 26-year-old.

Contrary to his account, witnesses also describe that the suspect attacked the woman in Leipziger Platz and used violence to tolerate sexual acts. The 26-year-old was injured, passers-by came to her aid, a 28-year-old – the “Krone” reported – pursued the fleeing suspect and made sure that he could be apprehended by the police.
