At the end of January, an eight-year-old girl died as a result of a fire in a residential building in Lauterach in Vorarlberg. The cause of the fire is said to have been found: a Bunsen burner.
A gas burner is said to have been the cause of the fire that broke out on February 24 in a house in Lauterach. According to the ORF, the police investigation has not yet been completed, but everything currently points in the direction of the Bunsen burner.
The whole family was in the house
The fire broke out Friday afternoon when the family was in the home. Although individual family members were rescued from the flames, the eight-year-old girl later succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
