After three advertisements, a doctor was finally found for the ordination of the deceased Lisa Maria Kellermayr in Seewalchen am Attersee in Upper Austria. With a lot of persuasion, the mayor managed to win over a doctor from Tyrol for the practice, which has been closed since the end of June.
She gained notoriety for being driven to her death by vaccine opponents and Corona virus deniers. Before her suicide, she had received and endured mass hostilities and death threats. General practitioner Lisa Maria Kellermayr had publicly advocated a corona vaccination and did not avoid confrontation with opponents of vaccination.
But at some point the pressure and hostilities became too great. In July last year, the doctor ended her life.
History was a problem
What remained was not only the shock and intense discussion about hate crimes, but also her newly renovated, state-of-the-art practice in Seewalchen am Attersee. The friendly furnished practice – the “Krone” was there shortly before her death for an interview with Kellermayr – has been advertised three times by the medical association. This is so common because it is a dedication with a health insurance contract.
Now a doctor from Tyrol has contacted us and she will also be working in Seewalchen from 1 September. “We are overjoyed, but we have also done a lot for it. She must feel welcome,” Mayor Gerald Egger is happy with “his” new doctor. “Of course the history of ordination has come up, but that’s not a problem,” he says.
37 general practices in Upper Austria not occupied
Incidentally, it is not an isolated case that a practice for general practice is not quickly reclassified. According to information from the Medical Association, 37 general practitioner practices are currently advertised in Upper Austria – mainly in rural areas. A practice in Attnang-Puchheim has already been advertised 14 times and still no potential successor has come forward.
