The trends are frightening – even the Wagner group, considered particularly brutal, already has its own youth club.
The starting point for this development was the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea by Moscow in the spring of 2014 following an armed intervention by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The ensuing tensions eventually culminated in the war in Ukraine. Many Ukrainians assume the beginning of the war with the illegal annexation of the peninsula.
