Due to falling infection and vaccination rates, the state of Lower Austria is reducing the vaccination offer. The mobile vaccination buses will be parked in April.
Lower Austria’s new corona policy has been keeping the whole of Austria busy for weeks. At first, the black and white plans to reimburse fines caused a stir. Then there was the former ÖVP Minister of Education Heinz Faßmann “Not enough” for stopping the vaccination advertising measures sooner than planned.
As the “Krone” has learned, the engines of the vaccination buses will also be turned off earlier than planned. The buses will be parked at the end of April. This is justified by the SPÖ councilor of the health state Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig – and with falling infection and vaccination rates.
Vaccination centers must stay
“Due to the declining infections and decreasing demand for vaccinations, it is possible to stop the additional supply via the vaccination bus early at the end of April. The residential area is available for those people who want to protect themselves with a vaccination,” the state councilor reveals. The national vaccination centers must remain open until June 30. Always assuming that black and blue don’t want to move forward there either…
