Russia is arming: – “Digital concentration camp” is to recruit more men by force

Date:

On Tuesday, Russia’s State Duma approved a new law in an emergency vote to make it easier for authorities to call up men for war. From now on, conscription orders must not only be sent by letter, but also electronically. It is no longer possible not to get a summons, the people are completely at the mercy of the authorities. The country of the Kremlin ruler is increasingly mutating into a totalitarian and sadistic surveillance state – with consequences that Austrians can hardly imagine.

Moscow’s war of aggression in Ukraine has been going on for more than a year. Since 21. Partial mobilization will take effect in Russia in September. Meanwhile, escaping the war effort is becoming increasingly difficult. Because now the dreaded report also comes in via the digital register ‘Gosuslugi’, which every Russian has on his smartphone.

Worse than Orwell’s 1984
Because it’s like the e-card with the entire document folder that each of us has safely stashed away in a drawer at home, practically combined in one mobile phone app. With “Gosuslugi” you are the “transparent person” par excellence, because the platform collects passport data, tax number, pension insurance card, driver’s license data, telephone number, registration form, possible criminal record, medical data, information about the level of education and more.

And even if you remove “Gosuslugi”, which doesn’t always work these days, the draft message can still be delivered. Because then it just appears in a special register. If seven days have passed since it was received by the Registry, the document is deemed to have been officially served.

Theoretically, it is also possible that the digital order is passed on via social networks, for example. Or just by post to the officially specified home address or whatever. Whether it arrives or not – it is considered delivered.

Civil rights severely curtailed
If those affected subsequently do not report to the military authorities, their civil rights will automatically be massively curtailed. It is no longer possible to leave the country, to be an entrepreneur or self-employed person, to take out a loan or to register a home or car, reports the independent news site Novaya Gazeta. Europe”. If you systematically ignore the decision, you can face a prison sentence of up to two years, according to the portal “Meduza”.

The power of the military commissariats
The independent medium “Mediazona” spoke to experts about the new law. Among other things, it noted that “the computerization of military archives is an attempt to create a digital concentration camp with completely unprecedented powers of military commissariats.” Particularly scary: the changes basically affect all Russians over 17 years old. And the likelihood that the Russian authorities will forcibly recruit people into the war is considered extremely high.
