An aircraft lost part of its landing gear on approach to an airport in Guatemala. Thanks to experienced pilots, the occupants escaped unhurt.
The TAG plane, originating from Mexico, with 14 passengers on board, landed next to the runway at Flores Airport in the north of the country, an army spokesman said on Sunday.
The airline said the plane landed safely “thanks to the pilots’ experience and expertise”. The 14 passengers and three crew members were unharmed.
In a photo published by the military, the aircraft manufacturer Saab’s machine is in the grass next to the runway, with a broken part of the plane on the runway.
