Euskadi, at the head of labor dispute with 35.3% more strikes

The increase in long-term unemployment has been less strong, with a year-on-year increase of 700 people. Navarra, for its part, registered 26.6% of the long-term unemployed.

The Basque Country remains at the forefront of the labor dispute, with a 35.3% increase in the number of strikes in one year, up to 131.1 per 100,000 signatures, by far the largest regional brand. In addition, the Basque Autonomous Community remains the region with the highest participation in strikes, with 125.9 strikersa figure that quadruples autonomy by the second highest percentage, according to data from the third and final semi-annual issue of the Adecco Monitor.

However, the increase in long-term unemployment has been slightly less intense, to the extent that this group has a year-on-year increase of 700 peoplewhile the increase in short-term unemployment was 1,200 people.

The CAV belongs to the regions where the unemployment coverage it has expanded, though it has done so with the smallest increase of all. As indicated by Adecco, this 0.8 percentage point increase raises this variable to 66%That is why two out of three unemployed Basques are covered by unemployment benefits.

On the other hand, 26.6% of the unemployed in Navarre in 2022a percentage that rises to 30.1% at national level, were long lastingor what is the same, they had been out of work for more than two years, which represents an increase of three percentage points on the previous year, although the total number is no longer rising.
