A large number of countries and international organizations have started operations on the ground in recent hours to evacuate their citizens from the capital of SudanKhartoum, which has spiraled into violence as a result of fighting that began a week ago between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Also the European Union yesterday announced the start of the evacuation of its delegation in Sudan, as announced by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell. “I am relieved to say that the European Union delegation in Sudan is being safely evacuated,” the top European diplomat announced.
Late yesterday, the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albaresreported the takeoff from Sudan’s capital of the two Air and Space Army aircraft carrying Spanish, European and Latin American citizens and diplomats, including five Mexican citizens and two family members.
Countries such as India or South Korea are also finalizing their preparations. Ireland has approved in recent hours the deployment of a mission from its Emergency Civil Assistance Team (ECAT) which will arrive in Djibouti today. Among the evacuations that have already taken place are those carried out by Canada, Egypt, Turkey or Jordan.
Also the past few hours chinese government has announced that it is considering the evacuation of its citizens in Sudan, opening a web page for nationals wishing to leave the country to register, although it is not openly proposing an extraction operation at this time.
