So sweet! A duck family got lost in the center of Graz on Sunday afternoon. To ensure that nothing happens to the mother with her babies, the police and the professional fire brigade were deployed.
Around noon, passers-by at the police station in Graz’s Schmiedgasse reported that a family of ducks had got lost in the busy downtown street. Twelve chicks waddled past it.
However, the situation was not without danger for the animals. Two chicks had already sunk into the canal. Fortunately, passers-by were able to free her.
To protect the family, police officers set up a barrier together with passers-by. Thus, the animal family was held up until the professional Graz fire brigade arrived to receive them. Now the ducks are safely back in the city park.
