Hot track after bloody drug crime! The Algerian killers apparently want to go underground in France – meanwhile, the “crown” asked around the scene of the crime.
It is now two weeks since the shock attack on an Algerian in the Jägerstrasse metro station caused horror. The 31-year-old, known to the police for drug trafficking, was horribly mauled by at least ten perpetrators with two machetes, some of his arms and legs were chopped off.
For now, only one suspect could be caught – after he jumped into the Danube Canal. He, of course, denies any involvement.
The murder detectives of the National Criminal Investigation Department in any case suspect revenge or a settlement in the drug environment as background. The fact that the machete killers are on the loose creates fear and uncertainty in the city. There is also strong criticism of the fact that no photos of the Wiener Linien’s video surveillance are published.
Killer Phantoms: Only shadows on videos
As the “Krone” has learned, only shadows can be seen on the camera shots, so a public search is pointless. But: the researchers are hot on the heels of the Algerian killer phantoms, most of whom have been identified by name! The gang is said to have already left abroad. The escape destination is apparently the large North African community in France, where the perpetrators want to hide.
“I turn around a hundred times in the evening”
The “Krone” was at the crime scene and asked around the Grätzel. The inhabitants still live in fear and terror. “My mother has to pick me up from the subway at night because I’m so scared,” says Gamze Ayvaz, 23.
The rape four weeks ago also evokes even more fear. “I’ve been calling friends on my way home ever since,” says Nadine M. The TGM, one of the nation’s largest HTLs, is also nearby. “The girls in particular are scared now,” says Jusuf Caliskari. And Brigitte Kalhammer also feels unsafe in her hometown. “I turn around a hundred times in the evening,” says the 66-year-old.
