On Wednesday, a non-commissioned officer and three military servants in Kraubath an der Mur (Styria) were injured, some seriously, in an accident with a Pinzgauer. They had driven the army vehicle along a forest path. Two of them had to be transported to hospital by helicopter.
The accident happened around 2.45 pm near the Kraubatheck in Kraubath an der Mur, the army reports Wednesday evening. The vehicle hit a forest path off the road and fell 70 meters down.
The four occupants – a non-commissioned officer and three basic military personnel belonging to Anti-Aircraft Battalion 2 – suffered injuries of undetermined extent. The injuries of two of the occupants were so serious that they had to be flown to hospital by ambulance helicopter. Two others were taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to the army, the next of kin were immediately informed. No civilians were injured in the accident.
