Just in time for the start of the working week, the latest generation of climate activists are once again wreaking havoc on the streets of Vienna. Several traffic junctions will be closed on Monday. At 8 am sharp, the demonstrators started their action in the area of the Schwarzenbergplatz, in the area of Linke Wienzeile and on the Floridsdorfer bridge. The Viennese police are already on duty.
It is the third and probably last week of the planned actions in Vienna. On May 2, the “Störwelle” started in the Austrian capital and caused great unrest. The climate stickers are heating up the population more and more.
On Monday, the demonstrators will mainly cause chaos in the vicinity of the Schwarzenbergplatz. Some activists have already clung to the road there and are blocking traffic. Traffic on the Floridsdorfer Bridge towards the city was paralyzed by the climate stickers.
The Viennese police are currently trying to disband all meetings. Another assembly is on the Linke Wienzeile near the Getreidemarkt.
