The incident happened just before 7 a.m. when the 13-year-old was trying to cross the main road. The victim was hit by a car and injured. Instead of providing first aid, the driver fled the scene of the accident.

According to the victim, the vehicle was a black Volvo station wagon with an Oberpullendorf license plate. Police are now looking for the Volvo steering wheel. The girl suffered bruises in the accident, which were treated in hospital. The victim was then released.
