After the burglary in a bakery in Landeck, Tyrol, more than two weeks ago, in which a 75-kilogram safe was stolen, the perpetrators are still on the run. The police are still hoping for clues and are now pinning their hopes on a wheelbarrow and burlap sack.
The scene of the nightly coup d’état on May 7 was the bakery at Landeck train station. The burglars had gained access to the branch in an unknown way at the time and immediately targeted the 75-kilogram safe, which they eventually removed. The safe contained a tablet, cash, three cash registers and keys. The damage: several thousand euros.
Researchers hope for useful information
According to new findings, the transport was carried out using a wheelbarrow, which had been secured while securing evidence. “This has a distinctive red marking,” the researchers said. A burlap sack found in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene may also be related to the crime.
The police published photos of the wheelbarrow and jute bag on Friday and hope again for the help of the population.
